This course, typically a core unit within a Level 5 Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management qualification (such as a National/Advanced Certificate or Diploma), introduces the critical skills needed for the efficient identification and classification of an organization's inventory and purchased items.

It focuses specifically on the practical processes of describing, classifying, and assigning codes to procured goods, which is foundational for effective warehousing, inventory control, distribution, and overall supply chain visibility.

 

This unit specifies the competencies required to prepare goods for distribution. It involves

receiving customer orders, retrieving customers’ orders, consolidating customer orders,

packaging customer orders and handling dispatch operations.It consist of 5 topics and each topics Takes Three Hours for it to be complete. It is meant for all supply Chain Management Trainees in all TVET Institution at level 6
